Today we tasted more fruits. Some pupils even loved the lemon!
As part of our topic, Food for Thought, we will be finding out where food comes from, tasting it and cooking with our ingredients.
Here are some photos of us tasting the food and finding out how some fruit and vegetables are grown.
The final day of Summer Scheme 2019
Key Stage 1 and P5 had Jump, Jiggle and Jive, Blackberry Farm and Charmaine's drama.
P6/7s and KS3 had drama with Charmaine, Blackberry Farm and a disco with Denis as our DJ.
KS4+ had Blackberry Farm, games with Denis and the disco.
I think the photos speak for themselves! We all had a brilliant time! Thanks to all of the staff for making it run so smooth.
We all had a water fight! Dancing with Neil and Act2 Dance, drama with Charmaine and some outside play.
As part of Extended Schools there will be an opportunity to stay behind from 3 to 4 to take part in drama with Charmaine in September and Act2 Dance in January. I'll keep you posted.
KS1 & P5 - dancing with Act 2 Dance School. Neil taught us some moves! We then had our treasure hunt followed by making crepes with Chef Pat.
KS2 - had cookery with Chef Pat. They made 15s. They then had dance. Some pupils went to the quiz with KS3 &4+, others played outside
KS3 and 4+ had dance, jewellery making and a quiz with Denis
KS4+ had cookery with Chef Pat. Chef Pat also showed pupils the herbs, fruit and vegetables in the garden and greenhouse.
KS1 & 2 went to jump, Jiggle and jive, had fun with Denis and art with Deirdre. P6 & 7 also had jewellery making. They made key rings, necklaces and bracelets.
KS3 had their Scavenger Hunt, fun with Denis and made their wall plaques with Deirdre.
Today it may have been overcast but the rain stayed away so we got outside. KS2 and KS4+ had a scavenger hunt (prizes at the end), fun with Denis from Youth Services and art with Deirdre. Deirdre helped the pupils use a drill to make name plates for their doors.
KS3 made 15s and crepes with Chef Pat.
Today we had circus skills, Gaelic, Drama with Charmaine, Disability Sport and Jump, Jiggle and Jive.
Linda Maguire's husband, John, is a coach and Mandy, another coach were very impressed with our sporting skills. Linda's son and daughter also helped.
