We took part in the Toothbrush Challenge. We stained our teeth and then brushed them to look for plaque build up!
We sang this is the way we brush our teeth as we cleaned the giant set of teeth. We enjoyed using the mirrors.
A huge thank you to the InvestNI team of volunteers who came to school yesterday to tidy our sensory garden.
The team, facilitated by Business in the Community, helped clear moss of paths, prune the willow arch, weed, deep clean our greenhouse and much more.
Without volunteer teams like this freely giving their time, there is no way at all we could maintain such a valuable outdoor resource for our school.
As part of our Food for Thought topic P5 visited Malone House. We are learning about how food gets to our table. So we tasted some of the tastier treats that are made from wheat.
We also looked at the changes in the park. We saw the changes in the trees, pine cones and conkers.
Today we had a visit from Lucille. She works at The Ulster Wildlife. Over this year we will be looking at the park and how it changes over the year. We will plant seeds, bulbs and plants. We will learn about the animals that can be found in the park. Today we looked at a squirrel and an owl.
We are looking forward to our trips to the park.
