Ulster Wildlife invited P5 to Musgrave Park. We coloured in birds, made bird feeders, hung them up and then had hot chocolate.
We had a brilliant time.
Primary 5 tested which of the Little Pigs houses was the strongest.
It was the one made of bricks.
Using our scales we weighed out the ingredients for gingerbread men. Miss Seal let us smell the cinnamon, ginger and the dark moscovado sugar. We felt the textures of the flour, sugar and syrup. We sieved, mixed and blended.
Next week we are going to roll out our dough ( don’t worry it’s frozen), cut out the shapes, bake the gingerbread and then decorate! Watch out next week for more photos.
We went to Stranmillis University Colleges’Panto. It was Aladdin.
All the staff were terrific! Thank you for helping us!
We really enjoyed the show and meeting the stars afterwards!
We were very lucky to have such a great team from BT come to volunteer in our school sensory garden last week.
They pruned overgrown hedges, washed windows, scrubbed algae from walls, cleared moss from paths and lifted up a mountain of leaves.
We are so very grateful for the time and energy that they have invested in our school.
If you would like to volunteer to help us keep on top of the maintenance of this valuable resource, please get in touch.
