P6/7G visit The Titanic Quarter

As part of our Titanic project, P6/7G visited The Titanic Quarter. We went to The Pump House, which is closed, saw HMS Caroline, saw the size of The Titanic and visited The Titanic Hotel. 

Everyone at The Titanic Hotel were lovely. From Paddy, who showed us around to the staff in The Drawing Office Restaurant.

Please note this is for P4 to P7 and The Acorn Room pupils only.

Only those pupils that have been practising this term and received a letter home from Mrs Vance will have been entered.

P6/7G Happy Mother's Day

P6/7G enjoyed their Mother's Day Assembly on Friday. They listed what makes a good mum, how their mum makes them feel and Caoilainn and Sophie sang a Mother's Day song. 

Miss Seal took art lessons explaining how to draw a portrait. She explained how to draw lines to add eyes, nose, mouth etc We hope you like them!

On the days that we don't have PE or swimming we try to get out for our walk. This not only helps us physically but improves our mood too!

P6/7G @ The Mac

P6/7G went to The MAC as part of The Young at Art Festival. We watched The Alien's Guide to Dance Gone Wrong. It was definitely thought provoking! Ask the children what they thought! 

We went in our World Book Day outfits! 

When we came back the Queen of the orangutans let us read her book. It was brilliant!

This morning we made pancakes. We used The Mrs. Boyd recipe:

2 cups of flour

2 cups of milk ( we used buttermilk) 

2 eggs 

mix together and cook

What a way to spend our Sunday! We are ready for rehearsals and then our main performance! Thanks to Mrs. Lowry for all her hard work, to our helpers and to our performers! Well done!

Making Christingles

P6/7G made Christingles today. 

The orange represents the world. The ribbon symbolises Jesus. The four cocktail sticks are the seasons and the sweets God's bounty. The candle is the light of Jesus.
