The excellent weather continues and the school gardens are bursting with new life...

Almost everyone was outside at some time today getting #WILD in our school garden.

P6 went in search of the perfect tree to do some bark rubbings, looks like fun.

Leah was enjoying the blue sky and sun this morning outside her new house as she was waiting for her bus.

What a weekend we've just had... The weather was AMAZING...!!!

I hope, what ever you got up to, it was a little bit #WILD

Leah had her lunch in wild space in her garden, listening to the birds and sounds of nature... Her lunch looked yummie.

Nathan went minibeast hunting and found slugs and wood lice under pots.  I wonder if they would like share of Leah's lunch...?

#30DAYSWILD - DAY3

Friday, May 28, 2021 - 13:30

Lots going on outside today...

P2/3/4 were enjoying a picnic in the WILD.  They took their snack outside and then took time to stop and listen to the sounds of the WILD and cuddle their teddies.  Later they took their shoes and socks off to feel the WILD between their toes.

Leah & Hannah were out in the Wildlife Garden listening to the WILD.  They heard lots of different birds and the wind blowing through the trees.

#30DAYSWILD - DAY2

Thursday, May 27, 2021 - 14:30

What amazing weather we had today, it’s finally starting to feel like the end of May…!!

We were out again today, to listen to the sounds of the WILD, however the mini-digger and dumper working in our nature garden had other plans.

Quick change of location and we were down near the track chilling in the sun, making daisy chains and searching for caterpillars.

We didn’t find any caterpillars, but we did see a handful of white butterflies at a distance.

#30DAYSWILD - DAY1

Wednesday, May 26, 2021 - 13:30

It's here, the first day of our #30DAYSWILD Challenge...!!!

Year 13 were feeling WILD in the greenhouse, discovering the feel, smells and tastes of the wild.  We smooshed soil, caressed compost, wiggled our fingers in pond water, got up close with grass and looked longingly at leaves.

No-one was brave enough to take their shoes off, but Katie and Nathan did taste a part of a Nasturtium flower (They didn't like it, too 'spicy..!')
