There are four post 16 classes in the school. Three are vocational in approach and the fourth has a more academic element. The emphasis throughout Post 16 is on preparing the students for moving on from school. Students have lessons in Numeracy, Communication, and General Studies. Discussion is one of the main tools to encourage the students to: think for themselves, form opinions and speak out. There are links outside school through work visits, work experience, social activities with other schools and input from statutory and voluntary agencies. There is a Transition team to support the young people through the last years of school and help them find the information they require through interviews, IT, research and outside visits. Parents are informed at every stage and encouraged to play an active role in this transition process.
