ICT is very much an integral part of student life in Fleming Fulton, used across all subjects in the national curriculum. In our school we have 4 computer suites, comprising of either PCs or laptop computers. We have laptops available for pupils to take home on a temporary basis to assist them with their homework.
The ICT room has much to offer in terms of equipment, we have an interactive whiteboard, photocopier, printer, scanner, webcam and digital cameras. To assist varying pupils' needs we have a range of equipment to be used in conjunction with computer-based activities. These include various items of hardware such as a joystick-mouse, trackball mouse, 'BigKeys' keyboard and keyguard. Software includes 'Microsoft Office', 'Clicker 5', on-screen keyboard and 'penfriend'.
We have links with some outside businesses which help to bring the subject to life! The businesses include Equiniti ICS, Grahams Bakery, Linwoods and JC Stewart Foodhall. A big thank-you to all of them!
Work Experience
Work Experience takes place twice a year for our senior pupils, a week in both October and February. Together with the teacher each pupil chooses where they would like to go. In order to facilitate this a team consisting of the teacher, employer, careers officer and occupational therapist work together.
We really appreciate the time and effort the employers give to make this happen for our pupils.

Mini-Company
Each year one of the Sixth Form classes run a mini-company. Pupils apply for their chosen position in the mini-company and a day of interviews follow. Once the mini-company is formed the hard work begins! Leading up to the show tasks involve holding meetings, advertising the show, selling tickets, designing the programme, applying for sponsorship and ordering merchandise. The profit made is used to support our school, donate to charity and invest in the following year’s mini-company. The pupils get a real 'buzz' from the whole experience.
This year the school show is 'Mulan' and our mini-company soon to be formed will be called 'Shan-Yu Inc'.
