One of the highlights of the day for the pupils was the talk from ASCERT, which focused on drug and alcohol abuse.  Alison the leader of ASCERT had us all taking part in the workshop. Jamie – Leigh was the Mummy of the little girl and boy. Michael was the surgeon he was about to do an emergency operation on the little girl and some people from different schools took part as well.

The chefs from Mourne Seafood came and cooked for us. They let us taste some delicious fresh ingredients like scallops, cod and mussels. Some people thought that the seafood was gorgeous. Dominic and Wayne were the chefs and we thought they enjoyed themselves.

In the afternoon sessions a girl called Emma came in from the blood transfusion service and was talking to us about donating blood to people or would you have liked to and how would you go about to donating blood to people. Jamie – Leigh has now decided to donate blood in August when she turns 17.

People from internet safety came in to talk to us about the internet and how to be safe when you are using it.

Then the firemen came to talk to us about how to put a fire out and what you should do and who to call when you are in need.

These are just some of our best bits.

It ended up a fantastic day and hope it will happen next year again.
