Fleming Fulton offers a ‘package’ of services to its pupils consisting of education, personal care, medical attention and a range of therapy intervention and support.
While the ‘education’ element of this package is provided by teaching staff and the personal care element by classroom assistants, the medical and therapy elements are provided by staff from the Belfast Health Trust.
A range of medical and therapy staff work in the school either on a daily basis or visit the school regularly. Nursing and therapy staff, covering Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) are based in the school, offering a five days a week service. Paediatric, Orthopaedic, Dental and Ophthalmic clinics are also held in the school on a regular basis.
