Class KS go skating with the Belfast Giants

The pupils in Class KS had a wonderful visit to Dundonald Ice bowl one cold Friday morning.

The purpose of their visit was to explore the facilities of the centre and record these on a worksheet as part of their modular accreditation scheme.

However, this was not the reason for all the excitement that morning. As well as the work aspect, the class were going to meet the Belfast Giants at the end of their training session.

The Belfast Giants had very kindly agreed to take the pupils skating on the ice in their wheelchairs. What a wonderful sensation everyone had gliding around the ice rink.

We all want to thank the team for sparing some of their valuable time and giving the pupils a wonderful experience. We also wish them all the best in their matches and the Giants will definitely have a few extra fans cheering them on this year.
